B. May Bags

I recently collaborated with the Michigan-based boutique, B.MAY Bags, to bring to life a limited edition of 30 unique bags, drawing on sizes and shapes that are part of the brand’s iconic design . Working with fine Italian leathers and suedes, I let the material guide the design of the individual patterns, each composed of random marks and arrangements of forms. Using lasers to carve the patterns, the precision allowed me to play with the texture and depth of the material.

In addition to selling the bags at B.MAY locations in Petosky and Birmingham, I set up a pop-up shop at my Chicago studio in Chicago for a clientele of art patrons.
